Derik first became an expert in the Veteran Aid & Attendance Benefit application process when his elderly father needed at-home care. He was a retired Air-Force Medic with COPD and Emphysema that couldn’t shower without assistance. Derik was faced with the importance of receiving help quickly during his father’s final days.
